Brittany Callahan LAC teen and parenting therapist at Northern Lights Therapy Arizona

Hi, I’m Brittany. I was born and raised in California, but Arizona has felt like home ever since high school. I’m a Christian, a mom of two, and someone who finds joy in the simple things—like spending time with friends, hiking, reading, and loving on animals.

My path to becoming a therapist wasn’t a straight line. During one of the most painful seasons of my life—going through a divorce—I was working as a front desk receptionist at a counseling office. I watched people walk in carrying heavy burdens and leave just a little lighter. That experience planted a seed in me. I realized I didn’t just want to witness change—I wanted to be a part of it. That’s when I began my journey to becoming a therapist.

Now, I have the privilege of walking alongside teens and adults as they navigate anxiety, depression, burnout, and life transitions. I know what it’s like to rebuild from the ground up, and I believe healing happens in safe, compassionate spaces. My goal is to offer that kind of space for you.

BACKGROUND

Brittany Callahan is a Licensed Associate Counselor who works with teens and adults navigating a variety of emotional and life challenges. She is passionate about creating a supportive and compassionate environment where clients feel safe exploring their experiences and developing healthier ways of coping.

Brittany’s journey into the mental health field began during a difficult season in her own life while going through a divorce. At the time, she was working as a front desk receptionist in a counseling office and witnessed firsthand the impact that therapy could have on people who were carrying heavy emotional burdens. Watching clients walk in feeling overwhelmed and leave with a sense of relief sparked her desire to become part of that healing process.

Since then, Brittany has had the opportunity to support teens and adults navigating anxiety, depression, burnout, parenting challenges, ADHD, and major life transitions. She strives to create a therapeutic space where clients feel understood, encouraged, and empowered as they work toward healing and personal growth.
