About Me:

From my early years, I was the kid who often found themselves in the principal's office, labeled as someone not living up to their potential. As an adult, I embarked on various career paths, from the service industry to business administration, insurance services, and even the entertainment field, but none of them felt like the right fit. It wasn't until my early thirties, when I began therapy, that my life took a profound turn for the better. Therapy not only ignited an undying passion within me but also unveiled my deep interest in the human condition and how we can modify or maintain our behaviors and better our relationships. Today, I am happily married with two amazing children and eagerly anticipating the arrival of our third. My love for smoking BBQ, watching NFL football, practicing yoga, and playing disc golf with friends keeps my life balanced and joyful.

My Background:

Although not particularly studious in my earlier years, I managed to earn my Bachelor's in Marketing from Central Connecticut State University. After spending about a decade exploring various corporate career paths, I found myself constantly questioning my life's purpose. Seeking help to understand my emotions and myself, I embarked on a therapeutic journey that transformed my life. With the anxiety I always lived with starting to fade away, I began to uncover personal meaning amidst life's challenges. This powerful experience motivated me to pursue a Master's in Counseling from Ottawa University, hoping to empower others to find meaningful changes in their own lives.

In my practice, I embrace an integrative and holistic approach to counseling, recognizing that we are all unique individuals with diverse needs. So, I feel therapy should not follow a one-size-fits-all model. I draw from a wide range of therapeutic techniques, including Gottman Couples Counseling, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, Internal Family Systems, Trauma-Informed Care, and Humanistic Existentialism. My areas of focus encompass couples counseling, anxiety, depression, interpersonal relationships, and trauma.

My clients often seek therapy to address challenging topics, yet they find the experience of working with me to be surprisingly enjoyable, enlightening, and often filled with laughter. I firmly believe that therapy should be an empowering and transformative process that leaves clients with the tools and insights they need to thrive in their lives.

If you are ready to embark on a journey of self-discovery, growth, and healing, I am here to walk alongside you. Together, we will navigate life's obstacles and uncover the path that leads to a more fulfilling and purposeful life. Feel free to reach out to me, and let's get started.
