Sandy is a compassionate mental health counselor with years of experience working with children, both in schools and privately. As a mom to adult children, grandkids, and a few beloved doggies, she understands the importance of family and the value of creating meaningful connections. Sandy’s approach is rooted in a calming presence, a quirky sense of humor, and a deep passion for helping others grow and reach their full potential. She finds joy in watching clients heal and thrive, always bringing a little lightness to even the toughest moments. When she’s not helping others, Sandy enjoys unwinding with Marvel movies, picking fresh fruit from her yard, and baking sweet treats to share with loved ones. With a heart full of warmth and a spirit dedicated to making life a little easier, Sandy is here to guide you on your journey toward healing.

BACKGROUND

Sandy Keating-Rubi is a Licensed Associate Counselor who works primarily with children and teens navigating behavioral challenges, emotional regulation difficulties, and self-esteem concerns. She is passionate about creating a supportive environment where young clients feel safe expressing themselves while developing healthier coping skills.

In addition to her work in private practice, Sandy works full-time as a school counselor. Through this role she has extensive experience supporting students navigating academic stress, peer relationships, behavioral concerns, and emotional challenges within the school environment. This experience provides her with a unique perspective on how school, family dynamics, and social pressures influence a child’s emotional well-being.

Sandy works collaboratively with both young clients and their caregivers to help identify underlying stressors, strengthen emotional awareness, and build practical skills that support confidence, resilience, and healthier behavior patterns.
