My Background:

My path to becoming a counselor started with severe family dysfunction, alcoholism and abuse in early childhood. Later, family addictions, a bad marriage, and struggles with a blended family, pushed me to want to learn how to navigate these bad situations in a healthier way. An incredible counselor in my early years also gave me faith to survive. These difficult lifetime experiences gave me the passion to help others in the same situations.

I graduated from Grand Canyon University with a master’s degree in Professional Counseling and a Post-Master of Science in Counseling: Trauma Certificate. I also joined the Trauma Institute of Canada and completed a Clinical Traumatologist Certificate. I trained in all four levels of Reiki energy healing and am a certified Reiki Master.   I am trained in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) and utilize this with my clients struggling with PTSD, trauma, chronic pain, anxiety, depression and other emotional issues.

I am in the process of being certified for Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) in the Basic, Advanced, and Enhanced levels.
