One of the first things people often learn about Hattie is that she is an avid reader. Books have played an important role in her life, offering both comfort and understanding during different stages of her journey. While she enjoys many genres, fantasy novels hold a special place for her. Today, reading continues to be one of her favorite ways to unwind and step away from the busyness of everyday life.

Hattie is also a devoted cat lover and happily admits that her two cats, Coconut and Pineapple, hold a very special place in her heart. Along with her feline companions, she shares life with her partner, who is a medical student in the Army, and together they are raising a spirited toddler who keeps life full of adventure.

At the core of who Hattie is, both personally and professionally, is a genuine love for people. She values connection, empathy, and helping others rediscover moments of joy and meaning, even during life’s most difficult seasons.
ABOUT ME

BACKGROUND
Hattie Carr is a Licensed Master Social Worker with a passion for supporting individuals and families through some of life’s most meaningful and challenging transitions. She works with teens, young adults, and parents who may be navigating emotional stress, trauma, anxiety, or major life changes.

Hattie has a strong interest in perinatal and postpartum mental health and enjoys supporting new mothers and families as they adjust to the many emotional and lifestyle changes that can come with pregnancy and parenthood. She also works with individuals and families experiencing pregnancy loss, offering a compassionate space to process grief and healing.

Before entering clinical practice, Hattie worked as a school counselor, where she developed a deep appreciation for supporting teens through the unique pressures and challenges of adolescence. She enjoys helping teens build confidence, strengthen emotional awareness, and develop healthy coping skills as they navigate school, relationships, and identity development.
Hattie also enjoys working with first responders, veterans, and military families. As the spouse of an active-duty military service member, she understands the unique stressors that can accompany military life and the impact those experiences can have on individuals and families.

SPECIALIZATION
Perinatal & Postpartum Support

Hattie is especially passionate about supporting women during pregnancy and the postpartum period. Becoming a parent can bring immense joy, but it can also introduce unexpected emotional challenges, identity shifts, and stress.

She works with mothers navigating postpartum anxiety, postpartum depression, adjustment to motherhood, and the emotional complexities that can come with growing a family. Hattie also provides support for individuals and couples who have experienced pregnancy loss, offering a compassionate space to process grief and healing.

Teens and Young Adults

Hattie enjoys working with teens and young adults who may be navigating academic stress, social pressures, emotional challenges, and life transitions. Her experience as a former school counselor allows her to connect with teens in a way that feels supportive, relatable, and encouraging.

Military and First Responder Families

Hattie also enjoys working with military families, veterans, and first responders who may be navigating the stressors that often come with these roles. She understands that these careers can impact not only the individual but also their partners and families, and she strives to provide a supportive environment where those experiences can be explored and processed.
